Otter and Salmon

I was wondering why the otter looked so fierce.

This is why! The original title was 'Osprey and the Otter and the Salmon'
John James Audubon 1844
(There was a medieval belief that fish were so mesmerised by the osprey that they turned belly up in surrender. The fish might do that if the otter wasn't pinning him down.)

John James Audubon was philosophical about man's relationship with nature. He said -

'A true conservationist is a man who knows that the world is not given by his fathers, but borrowed from his children.'

'Savage attacked by bears'

'The Butterfly'

'The Pilgrims in Rome' Paul Delaroche

'Cinderella'

'Snow Effect at the Care Home'

'He lay in a race in poor condition'

'In Sundgau on 31st December'
